After discovering how fabulous solid lotion is during her road warrior days and then returning from a service trip in Guatemala, Pamela became more aware and proactive about what she was putting on her body and chose to go natural. Being the "let's see if I can do this" kind of person, she decided to just make products for herself from lotions to deodorant and more. Seeing how natural products with just a handful of ingredients could work just as well as the big box store products that are loaded with ingredients (some natural and some not) really blew her away. While Pamela was trying out various products for herself, her friends would jokingly call her a "hippie" which brought her to use the hashtag "stillnotahippie" as a fun response to those friends on her social media posts about natural products she was trying out on herself.
After listening to friends and family talk about about various issues from headaches to pregnant belly itch to chapped lips and more, her desire to help ease their discomfort drove her to create products for them. And like many makers, with people wanting to actually buy what she was making, the small business was created and it seemed natural to call it "Still Not A Hippie". If Still Not A Hippie (aka, SNAH) products can make someone's life a little bit better in some way, that's all that matters. And just because you like all-natural, you're "Still Not A Hippie".
