Thanksgiving gets me so excited every year because it means time with family for the holidays and all the yummy food! With this year being 2020, we all know things are going to be a little out of the norm for a lot of families. Covid has really changed up everyone's plans this year, but that doesn't mean Thanksgiving has to be cancelled! There is sooo much to be thankful for (especially this year), and I think we can all agree that we are all noticing all the small things we are extra thankful for this year! What are some of your family traditions for Thanksgiving? In my family, we all gather together in a circle and hold hands while we say a prayer before dinner and then go around and all say what we are the most thankful for that year. It is something I look forward to every Thanksgiving!
This year, there will be 2 different types of Thanksgiving gatherings. One type will be the normal Thanksgiving where you still gather with all your family, have friendsgiving, etc. The other type will be Covid Style Thanksgiving, where all your traditional plans have been cancelled and you have a very different turkey day this year, trying to figure out what to do. There are still many ways to celebrate without putting you or other at risk of getting sick. As I'm sure a lot of you can relate, my family always has around 40+ family members get together for the holidays, so we all made the executive decision to not do Thanksgiving this year because of Covid. Whether you're getting together with a lot of family members or just a few and social distancing, it's all about spending quality time together and being thankful. No matter what you end up doing for turkey day, we have just the right outfit for you to still get you in that turkey day spirit!
Normal Thanksgivng: If you're getting together with family this year or having a friendsgivng dinner with all your friends, Nothing says Thanksgiving outfit more than a new sweater, jacket, skirt, dress, or blazer! We are obsessed with these new looks! Pair a blazer over a cute graphic tee, like this give thanks eat pie to really get into the holiday spirit, or even over a cute top like pictured below! You can never go wrong with a Gigi Pip hat paired perfect with every outfit. We just got sooo many new styles in just in time for the holidays! Also, be sure to check out all our new booties to top off your outfit and our new jewelry line, Sahira!
Covid Style Thanksgiving: Welcome to 2020 Thanksgiving, where we are all trying to figure out what to do this year! Whether you're hosting a meal with family or keeping it low key this year, now is the perfect time to create new memories and traditions! I've always thought that would be so much fun!! Have a virtual dinner with family and friends! Share recipes ahead of time and host a zoom call together! Bake turkey dinner together, or even do a family bake off! Have each person bake a homemade pie (everyone bake a different flavor) and have one person judge off taste and presentation. Get creative and find a fun way to decorate the crust of the pie with cute pie cutters. This is for sure something I want to try this year! Another fun thing to do at home would be to play board games, make a new holiday cocktail together or do a puzzle. We have just the right outfit to keep you cozy and adorable, all while stuffing your face with turkey and mashed potatoes and of course your pie from your family pie bake off!
We are obsessed with this new sweater romper! Pair it with your favorite fuzzy socks and snuggle in at home or even your favorite sneakers for a cute/casual look!
Wanting to just hang out in a cute tee shirt with leggings? We have just the right ones to choose from! Give thanks eat pie is so cute for doing your pie bake off with your family! Still planning on doing friendsgiving with all your best friends? This friendsgiving shirt has been waiting for you! These also look adorable paired under your favorite jacket, blazer (like mentioned above) or paired with a cute skirt and booties!
Looking for something cute and comfy to feel like you actually tried while just being home? We have the cutest outfits for you to still feel cute in for the holiday while you play board games and eat all the yummy food!
No matter what you end up doing for Thanksgiving this year, just enjoy it! There is soo much to be thankful for and even more to be thankful for this year!! I hope you all have a wonderful turkey day and enjoy spending quality time with your families, covid style and all!
